Quilting Bees have always been about coming together; visiting and sharing just as much as the project itself. I hope this becomes your favorite blog to visit and share ideas about quilting. I hope to share techniques and how-to's as well as the story behind the quilt. I hope you enjoy!

oh man that looks good! Love the minkee on the back.
Thank you for posting this because my next quilt to long arm has a nubby minkee back, and I have not done much with this before. Do you think it loses it's plush-ness (new word?) when it is densely quilted? I want to feather my quilt (because that's what I'm into right now), but I don't want to take away from the backing. My alternative is a large stipple.
None of the plushness (great word!) was lost. I was able to rub my hand on the back and still got the light when you rub one way and dark when you rub the other way without any interruption from the stitching. I think it quilted very well!
What is "nubby minky" I haven't ever heard that before? Don't you realize you have a novice here - you can't use a quilting phrase and not explain it.
